I used to live in Shanghai - now I stay at Quintet

As a former resident of Shanghai, I know all the big hotels and have stayed in most of them. Now that I live in Hong Kong and travel often to Shanghai,I always stay at Quintet. The location is perfect, you can walk to shopping, dining and massage. You can always get a taxi, even easier than some of the main hotels (Ritz Carlton, Marriott, Shangri-la) because it is right across the street from a big office building (E&Y being the biggest tenant). The breakfast is the best Western style breakfast in Shanghai. And if you don't want to go far for dinner, you can eat in the very nice restaurant on the ground floor. If you don't know your way around Shanghai, Fay will help out with all the arrangements.....

I wish I can stay in all of the 5 rooms. All of them are thoughtfully designed. I especially like the antique chair in each room. Fay's a tea lover andeach room is equipped with a special tea pot set. ..Quintet is in the french concession area, hence many good restaurants are within walking distance. Quintet also has an italian style cafe downstair. The food is great, so is the atmosphere. I like the manager of the cafe, she's super friendly and cheerful. ..Taxi is very convenient.
